Department of Ophthalmology

Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College & Hospital has a world class Ophthalmic unit headed by Prof. Dr. M.A Aziz along with two Assistant Professors. The department conducts various ocular investigations including optical coherence tomography, visual field analysis, retinal laser, colour fundus photography and fundus fluorescence angiogram. Ocular Surgeries performed are Phaco, DCR, Pterigium excision autograft and trabeculectomy. This department also possesses world class operation theatre facilities equipped with U.S.A based (alcon) Phaco machine and highly skilled O.T staff.
